Acupuncture for nerve pain

Not only was my carotid artery dissection a pain in the neck, it's also a pain in the face. Despite the fact that my stroke and subsequent surgery happened more than a year ago, I still get recurrent pain. I've been frustrated with how little Advil and Tylenol do to relieve the pain, and I don't like taking stronger pain meds. Recently I've been using acupuncture to see if that can help reduce nerve pain in my face and neck. And so far it's been working beautifully. I began treatment in early December and have not had any significant face/neck pain since then. I highly recommend giving acupuncture a try if you are contending with nerve pain.

  1. I hope you are doing well. It is disconcerting to find a final post like this with no explicit announcement that it's the final blog post.
